The original 1953 color is Schilfgrün (Reed Green) RAL 6011 or Maschinengrau (Machine Grey) RAL 7004. Modern epoxy paints work, but the top manual includes a formula for nitro-cellulose lacquer (now banned). Use a 2K urethane instead.
