The lights flash. The studio screen flickers to life showing a video montage of Sage’s life: their first steps, their graduation, their secret volunteer work. When the screen lifts, the studio doors burst open. Sage’s long-distance partner, thought to be 5,000 miles away, walks through with a birthday cake.
