Drawing on digital ethnography of pirate release forums and reverse-engineering of scene naming conventions, we argue that such filenames function as paratextual manifests of labor, infrastructure, and cultural desire. The paper further interrogates how the “robot” metaphor collapses onto automated piracy bots, challenging simplistic moral framings of digital infringement.
