We have always enjoyed helping others learn, so we knew we wanted to pursue a career in education. We enjoyed my other education courses so far, but it's important to us as an educator that we able to assist all types of students. we have chosen to enroll in this course about special education to learn more about students with different abilities so we able to help them learn. we want every student in our classroom to feel respected and supported.
The transgender community is not a new addition to LGBTQ culture; it is a foundational pillar. From the riots at Stonewall to the runways of Paris, from the legal battles for name changes to the viral TikTok dances that normalize they/them pronouns, trans people have shaped the very idea that you are allowed to be who you are.
This evolution in language has changed how all LGBTQ people understand themselves. A butch lesbian today may articulate her identity differently because of trans-inclusive language. A gay man exploring his femininity can draw on vocabulary that separates gender expression from sexual orientation . The transgender community taught LGBTQ culture that identity is not a straight line from A to B, but a constellation of facets: attraction, identity, expression, and biology.
