Based on the novel by Gong Ji-young, which was inspired by true events, the film follows Kang In-ho (played by Gong Yoo), a newly appointed teacher at a school for the hearing-impaired in the fictional city of Mujin. He arrives with high hopes but soon discovers a dark secret: the students are being subjected to horrific physical and sexual abuse by the school’s staff, including the principal and administrative head. Together with a human rights activist, In-ho fights to expose the truth and bring justice to the victims.
