The way bodies are represented in media can significantly influence how individuals perceive themselves and others. This is particularly true for mature adults, who may find themselves subject to different standards of beauty and appreciation.
This study employed a qualitative content analysis approach, examining a sample of images and media content featuring mature women. The sample consisted of 100 images from various sources, including magazines, advertisements, and online media platforms. The analysis focused on the representation of physical characteristics, such as body shape, size, and facial features, as well as the context and message conveyed by the images.
