Besplatno - Midi Fajlovi

While often dismissed as low-fidelity relics of the 1990s, free MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) file collections represent one of the first large-scale, user-generated attempts at music democratization. This paper explores how platforms offering “Midi Fajlovi Besplatno” serve as informal archives of regional folk, pop, and turbo-folk music in the former Yugoslavia, preserving melodies that might otherwise be lost to physical media decay.
